Here are some examples when purchasing multiple eBooks eligible for multiple point-back promotions, and your membership rank is “Explorer” (point-back rate: 5%).

If eBooks A, B, C, D are all not eligible for a promotion

⇒ (eBook A + eBook B + eBook C + eBook D) x 5% (membership ranking)

If the eligible point-back promotion differs according to each eBook

• eBooks A + C: Eligible for promotion X (30% point-back/store-wide promotion), as well as promotion Y (20% point-back/individual promotion)
• eBook B: Not eligible for any promotions (will only get point-backs based on membership rank)
• eBook D: Eligible for promotion Z (10% point-back/individual promotion)

⇒ (eBook A + eBook C) x (30 + 20)% + eBook B x 5% + eBook D x (5 + 10)%

*For promotion Y (20% point-back/individual promotion), you will not receive point-back based on your membership rank as the eligible eBook is also eligible for promotion X (30% point-back/store-wide promotion), which does not give point-backs for membership rank.

If the eligible point-back promotion differs according to each eBook, and is also target of the “50% Point Back for First-time Purchasers” promotion

• eBooks A + C: Eligible for promotion X (30% point-back/store-wide promotion), as well as promotion Y (20% reduction/individual promotion)
• eBook B: Not eligible for promotion (will only get point-backs based on membership rank)
• eBook D: Eligible for promotion Z (10% point-back/individual promotion)

⇒ (eBook A + eBook C) × (30 + 20 + 50)% + eBook B × (5 + 50)% + eBook D × (5 + 10 + 50)%

*For promotion Y (20% point-back/individual promotion), you will not receive point-back based on your membership rank as the eligible eBook is also eligible for promotion X (30% point-back/store-wide promotion), which does not give point-backs for membership rank.

Notes

• Please note that promotion points will not be granted in case of coupon usage.
• If the point calculation includes decimals (less than 1 point), it will be rounded down.
• If the amount of granted points exceeds the purchase amount excluding tax (granted more than 100%), it will be adjusted so that it would be less than 100%.
• Points expire at the end of 5 months from the eBook’s purchase date, but points granted through the “50% Point Back for First-time Purchasers” promotion expires at the end of the following month after your initial purchase.
